The Promise of a Pencil - Interesting Read

The Promise of a Pencil – Adam Braun
How an Ordinary Person Can Create Extraordinary Change
The Promise of a Pencil is the fascinating story of Adam Braun in his own words. Interestingly enough, the book and the motivation behind this phenomenal effort has its origins in India. In Adam’s own words it is as follows
“It began with a question. A small boy, begging on the streets of India.
“What do you want most in the world? I asked. A Pencil”
And there began Adam’s relentless pursuit to make a difference despite all kinds of obstacles.
Adam does shatter many a myth that we possibly continue to keep having and offers thirty mantras for going after our dreams. Out of the thirty mantras the top seven that resonated with me are as follows. I would urge you to grab a copy of the book. It is an extremely absorbing read.

There is a passage in the book where Adam makes the choice between chasing his passion and settling for a comfortable and promising future. In my view, that passage reflected a very honest portrayal of what one goes through in arriving at a life changing decision.

May the tribe of Adam and the Pencils of Promise Grow.
